This page provides limited access to manuals and support information for older HP, Agilent and Keysight test and measurement equipment. You will find more complete information, including any available manuals, by reviewing the Discontinued Products area for the product family you're interested in. Discontinued Products If you know the model number: use search on the upper part of this page to type in your model number.
This will also work well for older Keysight, Agilent and HP test equipment. If you know the type of product: browse the Products and Services area (see link at the top of the page), and once you've reached the type of product you're interested in, click on the Discontinued Products link at the bottom left of the page. Manuals for Discontinued and Obsolete Products If you need a manual: ALL available manuals for discontinued and obsolete products are provided online. Use the search box on the upper part of this page and enter your model number. If a manual exists, you will find that manual in the Document Library tab for the product. If you find the product page and there is NO manual, then Keysight does not have a manual for that product.

Hi,Seems that the are doing everything to prevent automated play of thegame.Anyway, you'll have to figure out a way open the link inside a activexcomponent. Then you can capture the image using the invoke node (of the LVcontrol, not of the axtivex) GetImage.Otherwise, you'll have to use windows (GDI) api's, like BitBlt, GetDC andGetDIBits. To know how to use them, you'll have to study C, Visual Basic, etc.
Code, and the windows SDKs as well. (This might not be worth theeffort.)Regard,Wiebe.' Alpine' wrote in messagenews:05000000DF6C00437000@exchange.ni.com. I'm fairly new to LV and doing my best. The site is PoGo.com going to the Poppit game. I am looking to capture a picture and write a 'cheat program' for this online game.
This will be my second one and I find this to be a little more chalenging than the first for me. Basically, the game is a 2D array of balloons (colors) and the object is to eliminate all balloons. As you pop a grouping the others will float up and adjust themselves according to physics. I have been able to capture any web page with a URL using the Invoke Node Web Browser/Get Image, but this page that is inside an existing program seems to be eluding me.
If you believe there is a better/faster/more reliable way to capture an image online, please let me know. Maybe, if at all possible, we could actually email instead of going through NI.com, let me know. Thanks for your help.
Hello, I am a new labview user. I am trying to save an image which is being correctly displayed on the front panel of my program as an intensity graph. I am able to get a 2D array of the pixel values (using the variant to data function, the camera I use has an Active X interface with labview).
The camera allows 16 bit or 12 bit digitization options. I would like to save the image pizel values as a 16 bit BMP or TIFF file. However, from what I understand, the flatten pixmap option in labview does not support 16 bit images. How do I go about saving my images? Any feedback would be extremely useful.
Thanks, Sanhita. I have installed and activated LabVIEW 8.0 on my Fujitsu T4020 Tablet PC with Windows XP SP2 (Tablet Edition). When I try to start LabVIEW, I get the following error:. Any ideas on a solution path??? Hi there!I want to access an active x server compiled with Labview 6.0i fromC#.Net. There are some Examples using VB but not C#.Here is my Example Code.after adding a Reference to LVSERVER.LVSERVER.Application LVApp = new LVSERVER.ApplicationClass;string test = LVApp.ApplicationDirectory. The Labview Application starts correctly, but in the second LineI get an Exception like this:-An unhandled exception of type'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException' occurred in mscorlib.dllAdditional information: Unknown language.Do you have any ideas?Greetings Roland. Hi, I am a newbie to Labview and have an old Basic version of 6i that I was playing around with trying to learn how to program with it. I need some help reading from Excel in Labview 6i.
I have many Excel files that were generated using Labviewand containmeasurement data. In each file, I want to go to a specific cell in Excel, read a value and take that value and the name of the file in which it resides and save both of those in a new Excel file that I will append other values/program names to in the future, after I run more experiments. I saw some examples online and in the Labview 6i help area of communicating between Excel and Labview using Active X and DDE with a command line but none seem to be able to do what I want and I can't figure out how to make it do what I want. Any help, direction in which to proceed, code examples will be very much appreciated.
I want to use LabView code via Active X from an external applicaiton. I have looked through all of the online and written information and examples. A couple of basic questions remain.1) Although the LabView User Manual says that the example FreqResp has an embedded LabView chart in it. I don't find this in the Excel file. In fact, it sounds as though an Active X control (ocx) can not be created with LabView. Is this true?2) In the examples I have seen, vi's are controlled by passing parameters with LabView acting as an Active X server.
The methods and parameters available are only those of LabView itself. Is there a way in LabView to expose a vi or llb as an object with its own properties and methods? For example, if I have an llb created using GOOP methodology, can this be exposed to say Excel as a class so I can create an instance of this GOOP object? If anyone can point me to a concise outline of the overall Active X capabilities of LabView, this would go along way.Thanks.
My problem is as follows:I have to generate a filtered signal using LabVIEW and NI-5411(Arbitrary Waveform Generator)(A sinus sweep from 10KHz to 100KHz in LabVIEW - filter it in LabVIEW - AWG NI-5411). The filter to use is an active filter designed with Orcad. I had thought of two choices: integrating somehow Orcad in LabVIEW or using a mathematical expression via a Formula Node to characterize that filter. The question would be how should I do it and how do I implement it.Just started working with NI5411, so any help would be really valuable. I have created a teststand program that will call my labview program. My teststand program will provide a string to my labview program.
This string would then bethe path to a certain text file in my C drive, eg. C: textfile.txt. Currently my problem is that my teststand program will keep on calling this labview program in a loop, and everytime the labview program is called it always prompts me for the path of the text file. This can be a pain especially with the large amounts of data. Essentially for my application, it is aMUST for teststand to keep on calling the labview program and provide it with a string input.
Is there a way that the labview program can be modified such that it will automatically know the path to the text file with an input string from teststand? Hi, I have a question about how to activate the window to first front window. I am using LV8.6. I made a labview program such that it will pause the program using 'one button dialog' box if it see the test failure and while this 'one buttone box' is active, I need to switch back to main window, but at the moment I can not switch back to main window unless I close the 'one button dialog' box. How do I switch the window to active while I don't close the 'one buttone diaglog' box?
Can someone answer my question? Thank you in advance. Go to Solution. I am required to interface the TG501 with Labview. I received an activeX control from Graywolf for this device.
I also recevied an example in VB script to demostrate how to use the control.I was able to load the activeX control in Labview from my program, but it only works for the first run. I need to close my program and reopen it in order to get it works, but again, only the first run is working. The VB script work fine, therefore, the people from Graywolf and I thought the problem may due to labview itself.I attached my program 'TG-501.vi', the control 'ProbeX.ocx' and the VB example 'ProbeX Example.xls' here.

My question is, in this program, when I change the timebase, am I changing the sampling rate? What is the sampling rate for that matter?
Is it set to the DAQCard maximum? Does it change if I only set one channel to be active? I threw in some code so that I could take a snapshot of the data, but I end up with 2 columns of voltage data but no idea what the sampling rate was. Makes it very difficult to perform any frequency analysis. Hello,While this may be possible, it isn't recommended. The serial port on your computer has a UART with a clock that will clock out whatever byte LabVIEW writes to it one bit at a time along with start bits, stop bits, and parity bits at the baud rate that you specify.
LabVIEW can certainly write a character to the UART over and over again, but due to those framing bits (stop, start, parity) you are probably not going to be able to get a very normal square wave out of the port.To do any sort of serial communication, just use the shipping example LabVIEW - Serial.vi that came with LabVIEW. You can experiment with writing different characters to the UART and see how the data comes out the port (pin 3 on a DB9 connector) with a scope. As far as the serial framing information, you can check this site for more information:the UART was not designed to source much current, so be careful and check the specs on the chip that you have in your computer before doing anything with this square wave.Scott B.Applications EngineerNational Instruments. I'd like to create a LabVIEW program that opens other LabVIEW programs, and embeds their front panels in the main program window. Or even better, I'd like to be able to create an Active-X control from my LabVIEW applications. Are either of these possible? If so, any ideas how would be greatly appreciated.I've seen the example which embeds IMAQ windows, which I could apply to any window, but the way the example is written, it depends on using an IMAQ DLL, regardless of the type of window.
I don't want to have to install IMAQ just for this.(I'm using LabVIEW 6.1 on Windows 2000). You may also want to check the knowledgebase entitled 'How to Fix -18001 Errors when Using TestStand and LabVIEW':document describes the error you are getting along with a possible solution which has to do with the DCOM settings. Also, there is another developer exchange posting that talks about this ('How do I successfully distribute the LV ActiveX Run-Time Server?' HelloI am using Labview 8.2.
I have built an application that communicates with a GPIB device. This application also uses WINUTIL.llb and active X control STI.ocx for minimizing to the system tray.
On occasion when shutting down the PC (Windows XP) that is using the application, the machine will fail to properly shutdown because Windows is still trying to shut down the Labview application. What could possibly be holding up the shutdown process? Could it be the active X control or one of the vi's within the WINUTIL.llb library or possibly the communication with the GPIB device causing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, The dsPIC boards I'm familiar with employ 16-bit processors - can you tell us which board you are using? If it is a 16-bit processor, please bear in mind that the LabVIEW Microprocessor SDK (formerly known as the LabVIEW Embedded Development Module) is designed to support 32-bit processors only. Also, in case you're not aware, there is a discussion forum board dedicated to LabVIEW Embedded topics on which you can find more specific help by creating a new thread, rather than posting to a rather old one that may not be looked at as frequently. If you're not using the Microprocessor SDK or Embedded Development Module, could you be more specific in what software you are using and how you would like to interface with your board? I just created a new user on my Windows XP box, and gave it 'Restricted User' access. (I think this is pretty minimal privileges.)After logging in as this new user, I could use the serial port just fine. I used the 34401A instrument driver to talk to my 34401A DMM and take a measurement.I think my security setup is pretty standard configuration from Microsoft. Perhaps your organization has imposed even stricter privileges. I searched on Microsoft's web site, and didn't find a lot of information, which indicates that this may not be a common problem. There are individual privileges you can set (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Local Security Policy) on whether users can 'load and unload device drivers', but I think they're talking about plug and play devices and the actual installation of the drivers. This might apply to you if you are using a USB device to add serial and parallel hardware to your computer.
Mine is set to 'Administrators' only, and I didn't have any problems with my restricted user accessing the port. Finally, I'm a little puzzled by your comment that you can't 'access all the menus'. Do you mean that you really can't see all the menus, or just that not everything on the menus appears to work?Brian. Making a long story short, I'm trying to create an executable in Labview that I can call from another Labview program via active x. I've been using the following article as my guide: It seems simple but I keep getting error 6945 saying that the VI name is no longer suffiencient. I've checked and rechecked the VI name that feeds VI path and I know it is correct.
All I'm really trying to do is grab the VI reference so I can hide the front panel. Attached is a screenshot of the code and the error. Any thoughts? Go to Solution. I recently had a problem with A labview program I am using. Originally I used a program that was written in Labview 7 to collect data.
A second labview program written in labview 8.2 then would open the data file and resave the dta file in an excell readable format. I recently hd prob;ems with a 'missing sub vi' which I managed to fix thanks to the the help from a memeber of this forum (Stephen). The original program that collects data now works in labview 8.0, but the program that was used to convert data does not work.
There are no error code, it just doest open the data (which would be displayed on the screen) and saves an empty file. Can anyone help me with this? I can send you the Vi for both programs if it helps.

Hello George, I am not familiar with that particular VI, but I believe that it was one that came with a much older version of our NI-DAQ (traditional) driver. If found reference to it in the following tutorial Transition from Traditional NI-DAQ to NI-DAQmx. I am guessing that you are performing some analog generation in this VI you are upgrading to a newer LabVIEW version. If you would like to indicate what that particular VI does, someone might be able to provide you with the newer version to replace. Travis MLabVIEW RDNational Instruments.

This is an ActiveX object that you create in your C code and allows you to load up and run VIs, pass data back and forth, etc. The VIs are run in a seperate process from you.2.
Create a DLL instead of EXE from the LV VIs. This results in a C-style DLL that you can then call from C and obviously pass data back and forth. Everything that ActiveX will let you modify in Windows Media Playercan be changed by using a property or invoke node with reference to a Windows Media ActiveX Object. You can browse all of these by opening the class browser and changing the object library to ActiveXWindows Media Player Version 1.0. You may have to go to select type libraries in order to select it. This will present you with a list of different ActiveX methods and properties that you can change or read. You should be able to find the options you need there. Note that some properties will return another handle, which can in turn be referenced to change a property of that handle. For example, if you read the Settings property, then use the handle returned as an input to another property node, more options will present themselves such as mute or rate.

We have had a problem in the past when we have had one of our Dynamic Vehicle Test computers running a labview executable program. The computer was connected to a network, and we would have problems with the program locking up when the virus scan software was active.
Agilent Chemstation Software Manual
Altruis virus scan software is what we used, but we had to deactivate the virus software, and disconnect the computer from the network. We are now using Trend Micro Office scan virus software, and I was wondering if you have had any problems with executables locking up or freezing while this virus scannig software is active. We are (Autocartruck) currently upgrading our computers, and we would like to be able to recconect the computer to the network, and have the virus software active. I am a Labview consultant here at Autocar, and I am trying to upgrade the computers they are using, and be able to run the Labview DVT program while the computer is connected to the network and the Virus software is active. In the past, they have experienced a problem with the program locking up, because of some system level commands being executed while the executable program is running.
I have tried running a non executable version of the same program, and got the same results. However, I have not tried running either version with the Trend micro Office scan software. I would like to know if there have been any reported problems, or conflicts before I do. You have a basic misunderstanding of dataflow. Maybe you should start with some tutorials or study some of the examples that ship with LabVIEW. The event structure belongs inside the while loop, and not vice versa. RIght now, the event structure only runs exactly once and never again.
If the stop is pressed first, the VI will stop. If the tab control is changed (from any state to any other state!), the inner loop will spin forever as fast as the CPU allows, either executing one or the other case. It just reads the tab terminal to decide which case to execute. Changing tab never triggers any events. The VI is trapped inside the event until stopis pressed tostop the VI. You were closer to a reasonable program in the other thread: Have you tried execution highlighting? Maybe things would become more clear of you do.
